about Beautiful Gate
Who we are
The primary objective of Beautiful Gate Zambia is to provide care and support to orphans and vulnerable as well as extending a lifeline to their families. We are situated in Ndeke Township. Basically we have four main programmes: (1) Community School (2) Street outreach (3) Community outreach (4) Skills training center and (5) Youth Adventure Camps.
Lack of education amongst the orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) was one of the urgent needs that Beautiful Gate Zambia immediately identified upon arriving in the area in 2003. Instead of attending school; dozens of children in nearby Robert shanty compound could be seen sifting through debris at rubbish dumps for food or toys. Their parents mainly widows or surviving guardians couldn’t afford to buy them school uniforms or pay the school user fees – they would rather spend the little money they had on food.
As an organization we aim to help address the above problems in the community by providing quality education to orphans and vulnerable children in our community as well as empowering their families with knowledge and life skills.
Beautiful Gate Zambia is registered as a charity under the registrar of societies which falls under department of home affairs. Our registration number is ORS/102/66/4694
We are a self-sustaining charitable organisation financed through public gifts, national and international donations, as well as government subsidies.
Our finance accounts are audited annually and available for inspection.
As an organisation we are committed to reducing poverty within our community by empowering people with skills, as well as providing an opportunity for local and international volunteers to contribute specific skills to the community we serve.
Beautiful Gate Zambia is part of and accountable to the Beautiful Gate Association of Ministries.
